We’ve been working in the background for the last couple of months on creating a beautiful space for mindfulness, yoga and meditation. We can’t wait for you to try it.

But why would I want to do yoga in the first place?

The benefits you will notice from a regular yoga practice are incredible and will be different for each person. Here are our top 5 reasons we think you should have a go at yoga.

 

Taylored 1 - Manage Stress
MANAGE STRESS LEVELS

In this modern day, we deal with stress coming at us from all directions! Whether it’s traffic, our relationships, financial stress, or our health – it’s all stress and our body literally perceives that to mean we are in mortal danger. A weekly (or daily!) yoga or mindfulness practice will reduce the stress response in the body to allow you to feel relaxed and calm.


GAIN STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY

Build your strength and flexibility in order to do MORE of the things you love. In yoga we use gentle (and sometimes more powerful) movements to increase your flexibility, strength and improve your balance. This means everyday activities will be easier (think picking your child up off the ground or getting back on the skis/snowboard this winter!)


RECONNECT WITH YOUR BODY

Yoga is a way to slow down and tune into our body. Our modern day life moves at such a fast pace which means we’re often distracted and disconnected from our body. If we slow down and tune into our bodies regularly, we can take note of what’s going on in the body and address it before it causes serious pain or discomfort.


DITCH THE BRAIN FOG

A mindfulness practice will help with clarity and focus. Who doesn’t want more of that?


IMPROVE YOUR SLEEP

If you struggle to sleep, a restorative practice might be just the thing you need. A yin practice is designed to switch your nervous system from ‘fight or flight’ to ‘rest and digest’. This allows you to fall into a deep and good quality sleep (quality is important when it comes to sleep!). Join our Restore class on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
